I think it’s safe to say that yesterday was definitely a day for foodies!
The idea of pinpointing one specific day to be extra mindful of our gratitude is brilliant. THAT totally speaks to me.
Even better, it’s a holiday totally centered around food!
I love trying new things in the kitchen and changing up what I serve on the holidays. I’m definitely addicted to cheese, so this year I picked up this awesome serving board at Home Goods (you can find one similar HERE) and whipped up this yummy assortment!
What’s the key to a crowd-pleasing spread?
The key to the perfect cheese board is this: include multiple textures, flavors, and colors. Lure people in with the look, and keep them there with the taste!
On the board pictured above, you can classify the food into the different categories below:
Spicy: pepperoncini peppers, and pepper jack cheese.
Sweet: roasted red bell peppers, grapes, tangerine, and brie
Salty: pecorino romano, feta, olives
Soft: goat cheese and brie
Hard: extra sharp cheddar, pecorino romano
Crunchy: pepperoncini peppers, olives, grapes
Aside from the ingredients on the board, itself, I served pita bread and an array of crackers as a complement.
I can’t believe how much my family and friends enjoyed this.
As soon as I laid the board down in the center of our dining room table, members from every generation were drawn in by the ‘pretty factor’…and ended up hovering around for the tasty bites! Let’s just say my artfully placed board didn’t stay beautiful for long!
If you’re looking for something easy and guaranteed to satisfy the guests of your next holiday party, consider crafting a cheese board!
Trust me, your taste buds will thank you.
