Pinterest is THE place to go for quick and easy workout regimens.
I started gym-ing it late in life. Horse-back riding, ballet, tennis – those were my things. You know, any workout I didn’t realize I was doing LOL. Once I settled into my last job, I joined Equinox and was loving it for the classes. But when I chose to leave work, the gym was no longer convenient.
Honestly, I fell off the workout wagon for a while. I was doing oneOeight yoga videos (which are awesome), but I was feeling the need to switch things up between Thanksgiving and Christmas. A challenge to shock my body – and work off all the holiday calories…
Then I found this “Drop 10 Workout”.
Originally from workoutfitnessmotivation.com, I re-pinned it from workout-exercises-amira.blogspot.com on Pinterest.
I love competing with myself, so of course I LOVED the idea and went for it.
So far, I’m on Day 6 into this challenge, and I’ve lost 5 pounds.
That’s almost a pound a day! I’m going to be totally blunt and tell you it’s not easy. Getting through the workout during the first two days was tough. I ended up spreading out the reps throughout the day. But after the third day, it suddenly became so much easier! I did the workout all together (as it should be done LOL) and it wasn’t as painful.
As for my diet during this little experiment, I didn’t change much! I just kept the bread and alcohol to a minimum and added some more protein into my diet with salmon, tuna, and beans.
We all know the usual workout classes and gym memberships can be expensive.
Whether or not you work these into your schedule and budget, it’s always nice to have an additive you can do at home – or even just on those days you can’t get to the gym.
If you end up trying this, too, I’d LOVE to know how it works for you!
