For all of you lobster lovers out there, whats better than cracking into a fresh, red shell?
How about biting into a hot, creamy, gooey, lobster panini?
My Mimi always RAVED about Alma Nove, the Mediterranean restaurant opened by the Whalberg brothers. This past summer, we popped in for lunch.
I know I’ve already discussed my penchant for Italian food, but there’s definitely something special about this particular restaurant.
Walking through the front doors, I was immediately overtaken with the lovely upscale decor and breathtaking waterfront views, white table-cloths, artful table-settings, gorgeous floral arrangements, rich wood, and a large, focal bar.
Yet, the place somehow still feels homey. The Whalberg matriarch and the restaurant’s namesake, Alma, wanders from table to table saying a quick hello to patrons. The food is delightfully presented, but the menu definitely offers some options I’d classify as ‘comfort food’. Even further, the waitstaff were warm, friendly, and sincerely accommodating of my food allergy.
I only glanced down at the menu and was immediately taken by the lobster panini option. IT WAS PHENOMENAL. Honestly, I think it’s my new food obsession. My only regret leaving was that I didn’t try more on the menu. There were SO many yummy-sounding options…
I don’t normally venture far outside of Boston when looking for a great meal, but this gem in Hingham, MA is DEFINITELY worth the drive!
