Hi Everyone!
I’ve recently discovered the absolute joy of listening to podcasts. (I’ll admit, I was super behind on the podcast curve. I was always one to read rather than listen.) But now I’m constantly discovering new voices that I absolutely love and riding that I’ve-got-so-many-episodes-to-catch-up-on high. It’s like having coffee dates once a week with inspirational and educational old friends.
For those of you new to the podcast world and those of you who are just looking for something new to listen to, I wanted to publish a list of my all-time favorites as of right now 🙂
So here’s the scoop:
The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast: For Your Weekly Dose of Realness
I’ve been following Lauryn Evarts and her blog, The Skinny Confidential, for years. There’s something just so honest about her writing. She’s no-nonsense, genuinely cares about starting real conversations with her readers, and promotes products with integrity. In other words, she’s the ultimate boss. For years, I’ve admired and trusted her – without ever having heard her speak.
Now that I’m a new blogger, I’ve found myself more curious about her journey and her business savvy. So I naturally tuned into The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Podcast hosted by Lauryn and her husband, Michael Bosstick. Both of them are born podcast personalities. I can’t get enough of their relatable tidbits, entrepreneurial insights, and wide range of guest speakers. No topic is left untouched. NOT ONE!
The Balanced Blonde Podcast // Soul On Fire: And Get Ready To Open Your Mind
I’m obsessed with all things health and wellness. Really. I will entertain just about any concept / theory at least once before I discount it. And I have found Jordan Younger to be one of my absolute favorite teachers. From the fluidity of her healthy eating philosophy to her willingness to delve deeper into all things spiritual, Jordan pushes me weekly to expand my worldview in exciting new ways.
Not only is her blog, The Balanced Blonde, incredible, but her meaningful and enthusiastic interviews really solidified her in my mind as one of my all-time favorite voices. I’ve always sought to maintain a healthy balance of softness and strength – and Jordan Younger certainly embodies that aspiration gracefully 🙂
Kwik Brain Podcast: Because Everyone Needs A Little More Brain Power
As a total academic at heart, I’m always trying to not only continuously keep learning but learn better. I wish I found Jim Kwik when I was in school. Instead of just repeating what to learn, Jim actually takes time each week to teach you how to learn and think more efficiently. I have found myself integrating so many of his little tips and tricks into my daily life. Instead of losing my touch (as I once feared after no longer studying in accelerated programs), I’ve found myself slowly growing sharper, more productive, and more focused.
Besides being ridiculously helpful, Jim has an inspiring personal story. I have so much respect for his journey and contribution to the world!
Your Own Magic Podcast: These Are Two Soul Sisters You Didn’t Know You Needed
You might know Allie Michelle from her beautifully curated Instagram page, or even from her recently published book of poignant poems, Explorations of a Cosmic Soul. As a published poet myself, I felt so connected to her words. But I feel an even bigger connection after listening to Allie and Raquelle Mantra on their podcast, Your Own Magic. These young women are both so young, yet so wise and self-aware. Through their social media presences, both Allie and Raquelle have cultivated loving communities of strong women who are now connecting worldwide.
I look forward to listening to their recommendations, wellness insights, and guidance on living spiritually in a modern world. The guests that Allie and Raquelle interview on Your Own Magic are all brilliant role models with truly unique perspectives. I find myself identifying even more with both of them as I approach these lessons with a curious mind and open heart.
I am an only child, but I imagine Allie and Raquel as shining examples of pure sisterhood 🙂
